KW Cyclng Academy Virtual training 2023

KW Cycling Academy is always looking for ways to expand our ability to offer new and energetic programs to all our families. More information: coachRob@kwcyclingacademy.ca or info@kwcyclingacademy.ca

Whether you participate in 1 of our summer youth MTB programs or receive daily training through Training Peaks (offered to all members).

Our KWCA coaching staff started putting together plans for a connection between Zwift & Zoom.... We have come up with a challenging series of workouts for all of youngest athletes as well as our Cadet/Junior athletes, our goal was to give everyone to get a solid workout.

The format we came up with allows riders to find the workout that works for them, no matter what your age.

Monday & Friday evenings there are Virtual Zoom/Zwift training sessions.  Everyone can join, it doesn't matter if you have a smart trainer or want to follow along on Zoom only!

KWCA virtual training has a combined into 1 group.

6pm - Novice/Intermediate/HP athletes - train for 1+ hour. Cadets & Juniors - train for up to 2 hours.

The format we use is a "No drop ride concept", all the athletes start together and as long as you keep pedalling you will stay in the workout.  You will move around the peloton (from the front to back - back to front).  The athletes climb hills, compete for King/Queen of the Mountains (KoM/QoM), sprint for points, and in general have fun training during the winter.

If you want to get involved with Virtual Training and race simulations, please follow the links below:
